Street food in Siem Reap, Cambodia

I love street food. Not because it is on the street but because it is usually a lot cheaper than in the restaurants and the people are so much warmer. The street food vendors are hard working people who usually have to save up a long time to by their carts. Even with a day of they are still on the pavement trying to make a living. In Siem Reap, Cambodia, I remembered them being so nice. At the chicken kebab stand the woman provided stools and tried to wave the mosquitos away from the customers while waiting for food. The juice guy, Mr Lie, would stand and talk for hours if he could.
What I like about it is the easiness and the no-fuzz food that is served. Noodles with vegetables and egg or banana/chocolate pancake, kebab or fresh juice. All could be done in one evening if really, really hungry and it would still not be the same price you would pay for the noodles with vegetables in one of the restaurants.

My favorite combo was to have a lime and ginger shake and some rice noodles with fried garlic and vegetables. And ending or starting the evening with a magic stick ice cream. A perfect evening right there. Good times with street food in Siem Reap !
