In Asia I had access to fruit any day of the week at any time. And it was always fresh. Matured right on the plant. Not in a storage container as they usually do when shipped to the western continents.
But we manage to come across a really good grocery store here in Ajax/Toronto that has a really good section for Asian food and tropical fruit. You should have seen me, I was in seventh heaven. They had soursop and fresh Papaya which could be difficult to get a hold of.
We brought it home and ate it like we never seen fruit before. And the scary thing is that I could feel my body just pushing all the nutrients out in my body. My body was really acing for some vitamins.

Papaya contains more Vitamin C than Orange and Lemon and also contains a good amount of Potassium. Potassium helps your body control body fluids and blood pressure. Ripe Papaya also has high levels of Vitamin A which is important for your skin and eyesight.
Most of us throw out the seeds but did you know that the seeds are considered as a super product within traditional medicine? It is used
as anti-inflammatory, anti-parasitic agent and used to treat stomachache, and ringworm infections.
Ripe Papaya holds a low amount of Calories and no cholesterol.
Papaya also helps your digestive system and helps your stomach if you have an irritable bowl which is good for me that has a very sensitive stomach. Especially when I arrive in new countries.
Papaya has become one of my favorite fruits and I am so happy we found good quality Papaya here in Canada. It sure is my super fruit.
