How to make Bechamel sauce for Lasagna

Lasagna is easy to make but many people wonder about Bechamel. The white sauce in Lasagna. The name of it makes you think that this is complicated. But really it is really simple.

5 tablespoon butter
4 tablespoons of flour
4 cups of milk
Salt, pepper for taste
Nutmeg for taste (optional)

Melt the butter gently in a saucepan, add the flour a little at a time until smooth and cook until it turns to a slightly yellow colour.
While the flour mixture is cooking, heat the milk in another pan and then whisk in the milk a little at a time to the flour mixture. Whisk constantly so that there are no clumps.
Take the sauce of the heat and season with salt, pepper and nutmeg as you wish.
Layer the sauce in your Lasagna.  All done!
