Best burger in town
Where to eat in Phnom Penh
I haven’t really been out of the house for a couple of days just working on videos and catching up with some material for me and my partners travel website.
We have been very efficient so it was time to get out of the bunker and treat ourselves to something nice.
We didn’t have to go far. We live in an area close to the Russian market which is popular amongst expats an tourists staying more than a month or so in the capital.
There are many restaurants, cafes and coffee shops in this area of Phnom Penh. And as we where walking we went past Brooklyn Pizza+Bistro. Although we have passed it many times we thought we’d go in an see what the fuzz is about.
We were greeted by the friendly staff and the owner himself and after having a glimpse at the menu I could tell why it is popular among expats and tourists. The menu is not Cambodian (Khmer), or even Asian, and is of one you could see at any upscaled bistros and lounges anywhere in a metropolitan city.
And it truly was a treat to eat there. I had the Ceasar salad and my partner had one of their burgers. Best burger in town.
Juicy, well made with care an thought given into it. And you can choose what cheese you would like to go with it!
If I could I would eat there more often. But a three year trip around the world sets the wallet back a bit. Sometimes we have the urge to splurge and we did not leave disappointed at the Brooklyn Pizza+Bistro. Money well spent!
If you are in Phnom Penh and are heading towards the Russian market. Make sure to stop by Brooklyn Pizza+Bistro on street 123.
